Join the Philanthropy Reform Alliance

At the Philanthropy Reform Alliance, we believe transformation happens through solidarity, shared learning, and collective action. We are building a growing community of practitioners, organisers, researchers, creatives, and movement builders committed to reimagining philanthropy and development beyond extractive systems and unequal power dynamics.

We value curiosity, courage, humility, and a willingness to unlearn inherited practices in order to build more just and locally grounded approaches to partnership and social change.

Joining PRA means becoming part of a movement that is shaping new possibilities for how we work together across Africa and globally. Whether through research, facilitation, communications, strategy, operations, or community engagement, every role contributes to strengthening a more equitable and solidarity-driven future.

We welcome people from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities who are aligned with our vision and values. If you are passionate about systems change, collective liberation, and reimagining development practice, we invite you to explore our open opportunities and grow with us.

Solidarity-Based Technical Advisors

The PRA Solidarity Network is inviting experienced development practitioners, technical experts, researchers, facilitators, strategists, and movement allies to join our growing pool of Solidarity-Based Technical Advisors. This role is rooted in accompaniment rather than consultancy. Advisors contribute their time, knowledge, and practice in solidarity with community-based organisations (CBOs), grassroots initiatives, and locally led movements working toward social justice and systems transformation across Africa. Rather than positioning expertise as top-down support, Solidarity-Based Technical Advisors walk alongside organisations through collaborative learning, reflective practice, mentorship, technical guidance, and capacity strengthening that responds to locally identified priorities and realities. This opportunity is ideal for practitioners who believe in ethical partnership, community leadership, mutual learning, and reimagining development beyond extractive systems.
