The Courage to Trust: Applying Trust-Based Philanthropy Principles in Humanitarian and Development Partnerships

This interactive learning session will introduce the principles of trust-based philanthropy and explore how they can be applied in everyday humanitarian and development partnerships. Together, we will reflect on what trust requires in practice, why it is often difficult to build across unequal systems, and how funders, INGOs, CBOs, and practitioners can strengthen collaboration through transparency, shared power, mutual accountability, and more relational ways of working.
